Not Alone – Disease Information and Resources

A Helpful Realization

I find it very helpful to realize that I’m not alone in dealing with the diseases, losses and challenges that have affected my life. I realize there are other people out there who have dealt with or who are currently dealing with the same or similar disease or physical loss issues I have encountered. Just knowing that others have faced, endured and lived through similar experiences gives me hope.

Discovering Information and Support

In addition to doctors and medical professionals, there are various sources of information online that have provided support and help to better understand specific diseases. Some of these sources can also help people connect with others who are dealing with the same issues they are facing. Additionally, some websites such as, The Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research for example, may shed light on how knowledge and treatments are progressing for specific diseases.
